Dear Life was my first book of the year, and talk about starting 2017 with a bang. This book was epic. It was a truly stunning and beautiful story about four separate people coming together for different reasons. Some have suffered loss, some are looking to be found, either way, they all need each other more than they’ll ever know. This is a story of healing, of letting go, and of people needing other people. It has so much truth, heart and it’s one of those stories that will stay with you.

All four of the characters in this book were so different. All of them were experiencing something big in their life. Hollyn and Jace both were dealing with a big loss. Daisy is looking to find herself and who she really is. Carter, well, Carter is something else all together, but I found myself loving all four of them. I wanted to give them all huge hugs and tell them everything was going to be okay. I loved them all for different reasons, though I have to say Daisy and Jace were probably my favorites. I want to talk about everything their going through and I would love to go on about their journeys, but you’ll want to discover them all on your own. Trust me on that.

Dear Life is a story that is hard to read at times, but it’s one of those books that makes you feel like you have a purpose. It gives you hope. It reminds you that even when you’re going through something hard, you can overcome it. Sometimes you just need a little help and support. The letter the author wrote at the end of the book touched me so much. Between that letter, and all the parts of the book that were Jace’s, I was a crying mess for a lot of this book. But then I had Daisy that always made me smile. It was a great balance. Grief, hope, change, friendship, and finding your purpose. This is a book everyone needs to read. It’s exceptional. A 5 star favorite for me!

About the Author:

A BLONDE AT HEART

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
