I have read all of Kendall Ryan’s books. In my opinion, Working It is her best book yet! A great mix of angsty, sweet, swoony, and sexy.

Emmy is a recent college graduate who moved from Tennessee to the big apple. She’s got a new job, assistant to the boss from hell, Fiona, who happens to be the top agent to a male modeling firm. Emmy’s job is stressful, but she enjoys it. She enjoys it even more after she meets one particular model. Ben Shaw.

Ben is the best of the best. He is the agency’s top male model. Gorgeous, built, sexy, he’s got it all. Emmy knows a guy like that would never look twice at a girl like her, he could have any one he wants. What he wants is Emmy. He is instantly attracted to her. Not just the way she looks, but her attitude. The way she treats him, cares for him.

Ben has been in the business for a while, he knows how it works. Even before he modeled, he was constantly around them- his mother was a model. He knows how people are. He keeps his guard up. He doesn’t seriously date anyone. It’s just not in the cards for him right now. But there is something about Emmy. When Fiona, Emmy and Ben all go to Europe for some contracts and show, Ben knows. He has to have her.

Emmy is hesitant. She wants Ben too, but she’s not sure if she can handle what he’s offering. She’s worried she’ll want more, more that he’s not willing to give her. Plus there’s the matter of Fiona. Fiona and Ben have an... odd relationship, Emmy notices. Fiona is possessive of him. It’s confusing for Emmy, but she knows one thing. Whatever is going on between Ben and her has to stay quiet. The last thing she needs is issues with her boss.

As things develop between Ben and Emmy, feelings start to grow, secrets come out... it's really a mess.

The spark Ben and Emmy have is uncontainable. They have some major chemistry. You can feel it. This one was hot hot hot! Then there is the Braydon scene... holy hell. I about died. Anyway, suffice to say the sex scenes were off the charts hot! But it was more then that. I really enjoyed the story. There were a few expected and unexpected twists and turns. An ending that wasn’t exactly a cliffhanger, but left you wanting more!

Now to the characters. I really enjoyed Emmy’s character. She was strong, stood her ground. She was protective over Ben. It was sweet. Ben was a complex character. He was more than just a hot guy. He is a bit damaged, his background and upbringing made him that way. But this guy is such a sweetheart. He had me swooning, then completely melting with his dirty talk. He and Emmy couldn’t be more different in a lot of ways, but they just work. As much as I liked Ben and Emmy, I hated Fiona! I guess you know the author is doing a good job of writing a villain when you can’t find one thing you like about them. The shining star of the book for me, and my favorite character was Braydon. I cannot wait for his book.

Steamy, sexy and sweet. This was an enjoyable read for me. I’ll be patiently waiting for the next book to see where Ben and Emmy’s relationship goes from here...

A story of heart-stopping, toe-curling passion by the beloved bestselling author of Hard to Love, Resisting Her, and The Impact of You.

Straight-laced and well-mannered southerner Emmy Clarke is out of her depth in New York City’s fashion world, but when she lands a job as an assistant at a modeling agency it seems like the perfect mix of business and pleasure. Working under the notoriously tyrannical Fiona Stone is a nightmare, but there’s one distinct perk: ogling the ridiculously hot male models who parade through the office—particularly rising star Ben Shaw.

Ben is everything Emmy’s not: exquisitely gorgeous, highly paid, and well-traveled. He’s also got more issues than Vogue. Emmy looks after Ben on photo shoots, but she refuses to become another one of his lusting groupies. Ben finds Emmy’s refreshingly real attitude to be surprisingly attractive.

Against a backdrop of the most fashionable cities in the world, casual flirting turns into an illicit affair, but when Ben’s twisted past is revealed, and the bitter Fiona catches wind of their relationship, their careers and hearts are threatened.
